Generative AIs have effectively taken over the world by storm. Tools like ChatGPT can create massive amounts of content for free.

Where is Microsoft Image Creator available?

Since Microsoft’s Image Creator is based on OpenAI’s DALLE 2 AI, it offers the same level of access. Most countries have access to the tool, with a few exceptions like Russia, Cuba, and Iran.

A full list of the supported countries and territories can be found on OpenAI’s website. If your country isn’t among the supported regions, check the next section of this article for what to do.

How can I access the Image Creator tool if it’s not available?

There are a couple of preliminary steps you can apply:

  • Download apps that have generative AI feature like Picsart.
  • Use Microsoft Edge.
  • Use incognito mode.

1. Clear out the browser cache

  1. On Google Chrome, click the three dots in the upper right-hand corner. Hover over More tools. Select Clear browsing data in the context menu.
  2. Choose a time range such as All Time.
  3. Check off the box next to Cookies and other site data, then click Clear data.
  4. For Firefox, click three lines in the upper right-hand corner, expanding the context menu. Select Settings.
  5. Select Privacy & Security. Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data. Click Clear Data.
  6. Check off the boxes next to Cookies and Site Data and Cached Web Content. Click Clear to empty the cache.
  7. On Microsoft Edge, click the three dots in the upper right-hand corner. Select Settings in the context menu, then go to Privacy, search, and services.
  8. Scroll down to Clear browsing data. Click Choose what to clear.
  9. Check off the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cache images and files in the pop-up window.
  10. Set the time range to All Time, then select the Clear now button.

Before you can use a VPN to access Bing’s Image Creator, you must first clear out your browser’s cache.

2. Access the image creator via VPN

  1. There are a variety of free VPNs available. We recommend ProtonVPN software, so head over to the app’s website and install it.
  2. Create a Proton account if you don’t already have one.
  3. Sign in with Start and connect on boot toggled.
  4. Click Quick Connect to be assigned a server in either the United States, Japan, or the Netherlands.

3. Access via Tor browser

  1. Go to Tor’s browser website and click Download for Windows. Run the file to install it and open it.
  2. Close the Tor browser. Go to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Desktop\Tor Browser on File Explorer. Replace [USERNAME] with your own.
  3. Open the following folders in this order: Browser, TorBrowser, Data, and Tor.
  4. Double-click torrc. Select Notepad in the popup window.
  5. Enter the following commands: EntryNodes {us} StrictNodes 1 ExitNodes {us} StrictNodes 1
  6. You can add countries besides the United States to torrc. Go to ISO’s Online Browsing Platform, select Country Codes, and hit Search.
  7. Search for other Alpha-2 codes for countries you want to use on Tor, like FR for France.
  8. Add that Alpha-2 code to torrc. Click File, then select Save.
  9. Launch the Tor browser, go to any website, and click the lock icon in the address bar. You can see which countries Tor is connected to in the small window.

Once you get access to Bing’s Image Creator, you will enjoy a pretty impressive generative AI. But don’t limit yourself, as Bing AI was recently added to the Windows 11 taskbar after disappearing for a bit.
