Intelligent Recap, a new AI-based feature for Microsoft Teams, is finally out for general use and it looks exciting.
Microsoft announced the feature a while ago for Team Premium, a version of the platform suited for business, and now it has arrived.
So what is Intelligent Recap? Basically, it’s a tool that leverages AI to provide a detailed overview of your professional meetings. But there is more. Intelligent Recap comes with its own plan of action based on the discussions from the meeting.
This way, by taking notes and making suggestions based on the notes, the tool saves up a lot of time for people who, for different reasons, don’t manage to get all the necessary info from a meeting. According to a study conducted by Microsoft:
- 55% of people attending a meeting report that the next steps are unclear at the end of it
- 56% of people attending a meeting report that it’s hard to summarize what happened in that meeting
So it makes sense such a feature exists now. How does it work, you would ask? Follow along and we’ll show you.
Here’s how you can use Intelligent Recap in your Teams meetings
First things first, you need a Team Premium license and meeting recording and transcription enabled. Intelligent Recap works after the meetings are recorded and transcribed.
- On the Microsoft Teams platform, you have a new panel, called Recap. Head over there and click on it.
